Hi, I'm Debbie, the founder of Chateau Gateaux.
My journey began in 2010 when I launched 'Sassa's Bespoke Cakes and Cupcakes.' Over the following fourteen years, the venture flourished, expanding from a small operation delivering treats throughout Norfolk to a specialized wedding cake studio. My husband eventually joined me, taking on roles as both baker and assistant, as we focused on larger-tier celebrations.

Following the challenges of the post-Covid era, I made the difficult choice to close its doors in 2024. However, I soon realized how much I missed the creative process. This sparked a new vision, leading to the launch of Chateau Gateaux with a renewed perspective and a fresh business model. This time, I am returning to the roots of what I love most. While weddings remain part of what I do, I also love making birthday cakes and smaller treats for various celebrations. By keeping the scale of the business more intimate, I find much more joy and energy in every design. I look forward to adding a special touch to your next event.
